Another successful year for the RYDA program held at the showgrounds again this year. Over the three week period 2,500 Year 10 students participated in workshops and demonstrations aimed to devise strategies on the road safety issues of speeding, alcohol and drugs, fatigue, distractions and the wearing of seat belts. “My Life, My Choices” addresses the social aspects of being a driver and passenger and lowering personal risks by making better decisions. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this important program possible. Special thanks to the District Governor Ross Carlyle who made time from his busy schedule to facilitate the Breaking Distance demonstration.
