Youth Exchange Program
An International Exchange program for young people between the ages of 15-18 years. The exchange is for 12 months, during which time the student is hosted by several families & attends a local school.
There is a time line for applications & the interview process between February & May each year for outbound overseas selection. Student applications need to be endorsed by the school/college principal that they currently attend in Hobart (this is up to the student to negotiate).
Go onto 9830 District Website or the Austalian Rotary Website for more information on Youth Exchange programs in your area, or contact the YOUTH Chairperson from MOONAH ROTARY CLUB (See the club positions tab to get the current YOUTH Chairperson’s persons name).

MOONAH’S VERY EXCITED…..
We have recently received a wonderful new addition to our club !!
In July 2010 our club was blessed to have a lovely young lady from Switzerland called Alina Schertenleib join us. Alina is 16 years old (soon to turn 17) &; comes from a city called “Feldbrunnen”. Alina is very passionate about singing, as well as watching most sports like soccer, skiing, &; she enjoys outdoor climbing
Stay posted on this web page for future updates. I am hoping to have a dedicated page that Alina can keep updated with photos & posts for everyone around the world, so they can share with Alina in her wonderful “Australian” adventure …..
Alina has settled in nicely with her first host parents Moonah Rotarian’s Barry & Lorraine Titmus. She was staying with them for around three weeks & then she is off to the next lovely in home of a “CITY CENTRAL HOBART ROTARIAN” Anita. Anita & her daughter Chloe are really looking forward to having Alina join their happy family for two months.
