RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment)

RYPEN is an involvement program. Learning by doing; you will be developing skills and above all it’s about……….. “Giving Everything a Go !! “RYPEN is a weekend long program for 14-17 year old’s. The program offers participants a chance to interact with, and learn from, and with, those from different backgrounds. It’s principal aim is the communication of a series of ideas, problems, & social experiences, which will assist the young participants in forming their own values & moral standards.
Participants are expected to assist in the conduct of workshops, act as Team Leaders, present project team ideas and outcomes, thank Guest Presenters and assist with various other workshop tasks

RYPEN is aimed at developing leadership potential.
A candidate for RYPEN is a young person who has shown qualities of decency, courage, persistence, sincerity, application and dependability.
A candidate for RYPEN is not necessarily the highest achiever, but must be committed to developing these qualities.

Application
A candidate for RYPEN is a young person who has shown qualities of decency, courage, persistence, sincerity, application and dependability.

What we look for in a candidate:

- Will benefit from a learning experience where they can gain confidence in a supportive environment.
- Above all, are committed to “giving it a go” over the three days of the camp.
