RYDA 2017 – Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

Braking Distance Demonstration

Another successful year for the RYDA programme held at the showgrounds again this year. Over the three week period 2,500 Year 10 students participated in workshops and demonstrations aimed to devise strategies on the road safety issues of speeding, alcohol and drugs, fatigue, distractions and the wearing of seatbelts. “My Life, My Choices” addresses the social aspects of being a driver and passenger and lowering personal risks by making better decisions. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this programme possible.
