WHAT A LEGACY…….
In the coming years a variety of Mental Health projects will be high on our agenda as a club. Rotary Tasmania & Beyond Blue have agreed to a pilot program being launched in October 2010 – bringing together two amazing organisations that both want to improve awareness of mental health issues & help Tasmanians who suffer from some form of the debilitating disease. http://beyondblue.org.au/
MENTAL HEALTH
The MOONAH ROTARY CLUB is very interested in helping to raise awareness of mental health issues, and in turn we want to bring together the people who can help both the sufferers & the people care for them under the one roof. We understand the YOUTH in Tasmania will have different needs to the rest of the community – so we have decided to put on seperate events for them throughout the year.
We will be working with interested Mental Health Providers, (in particular BEYOND BLUE), and a variety of key note speakers who will cover specific areas of mental health like post natal depression, or Bi Polar etc, and all the organisations that are able to provide FREE information for our friends in the community.
We are hosting TWO seperate ANNUAL Mental Health Forum each year (ONE FOR YOUTH, & ONE FOR THE GENERAL COMMUNITY). Please go to UPCOMING EVENTS PAGE to find out more details.
