Rotarian Lorraine Titmus is the current person who you give your apologies too or to let know if you are wishing to attend a meeting.  Her contact detail are:  Home Phone: 6229 6309   or   0439 657 578   or   lorraine@moonahrotary.org

See separate page on the “About our Club” tab for a “COMPLETE LISTING” of all CLUB POSITION HOLDERS. Including the current club presidents details.

Our major fundraising project is a “Cruise on the River” in November every year.  Please go to seperate page for more details.  This project is how we fund our extensive list of programs and projects for the underprivillaged or  for Tasmania’s deserving youth and young adults that are selected for some of Rotary’s many youth programs.

  • Weekly lunch costs are $5.00 to attend the meeting.

Yearly membership fees if you are accepted by our club as a member are currently $200.00.  Except a tiny amount, this fee does not go to our club for fundraising -  It covers the cost of your monthly “Rotary Down Under” (RDU) Magazine subscription that is sent to your nominated address.  The remainder of the fee goes to Rotary Australia to cover admin costs associated with membership.  We as a club cover the cost of your gold membership badge that you are expected to wear each week at our normal club meetings & when you are out and about at any of our club fundraising efforts.

Two of the meetings held each month boast an interesting  guest speaker that comes to talk to us about a variety of amazing topics.  Then once a month  we hear from the directors in our club about what is happening at the moment & each week we also hear about any future exciting events that we need to plan for, then once a month we hold committee meetings.  This is so we can cut down the amount of time that members need to dedicate after hours for club meetings.

We are very conscious that members have families and lives outside of Rotary ….and the board members endevour to plan as much as they can at the weekly meetings so that members can spend valuable time with their family and loved ones in the evenings and on weekends.  IT DOESN”T PAY TO MISS A MEETING THESE DAYS !!!

When you look through this web site,  you will discover the huge variety of projects that we as a club undertake & support on a yearly basis.

We support a wide range of projects – some that are sometimes a once off community service - like “a young mum recently needed a safety car seat for a new born baby, because hers had been burnt out in her car”, or when natural disasters hit, we use our Rotary contacts through out the world & move into action after finding out what their needs are from the people on the ground - this ensures the money we donate does not go into admin fees, instead helping the familes most in need - The range of projects goes right through to “providing ongoing support and backing to Australia’s Mental Health education crisis”, & on the other end of the scale we “provide many certificates for some of our amazing kids in our local schools in the area”.

There is never a project too small or too big that we won’t consider offering our help  with – if there is a consensus from our committed members.

All our major club fundraisers are built around being “fair to all concerned” one of the FOUR WAY TEST  that we Rotarian’s live by.   So when we ask for sponsorship, prizes or partnerships with business or individuals – we do it with that slogan in mind.
